Glock 19 Recoil Spring Upgrade - I didn't actually sell the optional guide rod, but after seeing my better half on the frame of his Glock 17, I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered a SS guide rod with a 17lb spring for it. My girlfriend likes the twist on the gun, and while the weight difference isn't as great as the tungsten guide rod, it did help with recoil and a more comfortable sight placement. This was my first order with an extended control set with metal pins. Shipping was fast and they had great communication that thought through the whole process.
Good build, well done, almost falling apart. First there was a problem with spring compression. I was able to remove the mounting washer with a little force. I noticed some loctite on the guide rod at the bottom of the mounting screw. It held the puck motionless. I cleaned the rest and now everything works fine. Maybe it should be taken into account or customers should be warned. At first I thought it was broken.
Glock 19 Recoil Spring Upgrade
Very satisfied, got into place without any problems. I noticed that it had unpainted mounting washers for the various spring weights that are not pictured. When I saw this I decided to weigh it on my digital scale and it weighed 25.6 grams so I took the assembly to work and weighed it on the digital scale and the weight was the same as advertised, 25.6 instead of 28 ,3. Even after hundreds of rounds I am happy with how well my rifle performs. I highly recommend this update.
Gen 5 Black Tip Stainless Steel Guide Rod For Glock Model 19
It looks like it hasn't been shot yet, the reason for the 4 stars is because as I wrote before, they had a red lock on the end that goes into the frame, I had to grease it. Some time ago I had a mild feeling of rejection. It seems to work fine manually now, but tomorrow I will test it, if it works well, my rating will change to 5 stars.. if there are any problems, it will go down from 4.
Moving the 20-pound recoil spring to the .40 S&W G22 eliminates the high-velocity slide and FTFs that occur when the lights are mounted on Gen 3 rails. These issues stemmed from the insufficient 17-pound recoil spring in conjunction with the 9mm G17. It also reduces the felt recoil. The added weight and stiffness of the stainless guide bar is a nice bonus.
Very well made and appears to be made of quality materials. It is better than the OEM Glock recoil spring assembly and has improved my model G17.
I gained 17 pounds. Competition recoil spring for my Glock 17, Gen 4. After cleaning and oiling, it fitted into the gun with no problems. Generation 4 requires a "transition ring". I could feel and hear some grinding/friction when I ran my hand over the slide so it felt like it was rubbing. I then checked the bolt, lower frame and barrel and found no problems. The spring rubbed against the guide handle.
Captured Stainless Steel Guide Rods For Glocks
I have fired over 100 rounds (medium powder charges). It was executed flawlessly. Case ejection was good, tire lift was excellent, and recoil seemed to be a little off.
I got a pair from the hood for sure. Also, by doing tactical speed drills, I was able to consistently engage targets quickly and make accurate shots (15 yards).
G19 3rd Gen 18lb Competition Stainless Steel Rod... Not only did it ship a day early, but it's a must have for any Glock pistol. I can feel the difference/improvement in the overall balance of the 19 in my hands. Can't wait to get through it.
