Glock 19 Recoil Spring Weight - Although I wasn't really sold on adding a shopping guide. After seeing my better side with her glock 17 I thought it would be worth a shot. I ordered a SS guide with a 17lb spring. My boyfriend likes the way the gun rotates; Although the weight difference isn't as great as a straight black guide rod. This helps with reversing and more comfortable positioning. This is my first order with an extension controller with a metal pin. Shipping was fast and they communicated well throughout the process.
It was magnificently built and almost broke. Initially there was a problem with Spring compression. Using a little force, he was able to break the restraining washer. I noticed some loctite on the guide rod near the bottom of the lock screw. It caught the washer preventing it from moving. I scraped off the residue and it was fine. You may want to watch this or remind your customers. At first I thought it was broken.

I'm so glad I got away with it without any issues. It is not covered by various spring weights. Note that there is a hand sanitizer not pictured. After seeing this, my digital scale weighed about 25.6 grams, I think. So I fired up the setup and weighed it with a digital medicine scale and it only weighed 25.6 instead of 28.3 as advertised. While I am very happy, the part in my gun is still working flawlessly after a few hundred rounds. I highly recommend this upgrade.

Looks like I got a good shot. The only reason for 4 stars is because I commented before. Because there is a red key on the back that goes into the frame. It's about peeling it back and working. It feels smooth for a long time. It seems to be working automatically now, but I'll try tomorrow. If it works well, I will change my review to 5 stars. If there is any problem, it will be less than 4.
Moving up to 20 spring pounds on the .40 S&W G22 avoids the velocity slide against the frame and FTF that occurs when the light is mounted on a Gen 3 rail. These problems are due to a 17lb recoil spring failure common to the 9mm G17. It also reduces the irritation experienced. Adding weight and strength to the steel guide bar is a nice bonus.

I gained 17 pounds. My Glock 17, Competition Recoil Spring for Gen 4; After cleaning and oiling it, put it into my pistol with no problems. Requires Gen 4 "Adapter Ring". Feels like you are rubbing the bike slide assembly with your hand and hears a light grinding/rubbing sound. then slide Checked the lower frame housing and tub and found no problems. It rubs along the spring rod.

I fired over 100 rounds (average charge). It worked flawlessly. Case ejection is good; Round lift is good and recoil seems to be slightly reduced.

18lb steel competition guide rod for the gen 3 G19...a must for any Glock handgun, not just a day earlier. I can feel the difference/improvement in the overall balance of the 19 in my hands. I can't wait to beat him.
